Antonio Banderas wanted to become a football player, but his dream had to be forgotten after he broke his foot when he was 14 years old. That same year Antonio discovered his lifetime passion when he saw a musical comedy for the first time.

1973 Antonio became member of a Theatre Group in Malaga and then he moved to Madrid in order to become an actor.

1980 He debuted on TV and then he met Pedro Almodovar, who helped him to become famous in Europe.

1985 Glimche offered Antonio his first role in English, in the film "The Mambo Kings".

1994 Antonio Banderas started working for the UNICEF, he went on a mission to Somala and destined his work to helping children.

2003 Antonio Banderas acted in the film "Once Upon a Time in Mexico", directed by Robert Rodríguez, where he played the role of "The Mariachi" with Salma Hayek and Ruben Blades.

2004 Antonio Banderas traveled to Mexico for the making or the film Zorro, with Catherine Zeta Jones.
