Martial artist and physician, he is best known for being the protagonist of numerous martial arts films and television series. He was portrayed in films such as Rise of the Legend, Drunken Master II, and Around the World in 80 Days. The Wong Fei-hung Lion Dance Martial Arts Museum was built in his hometown in 1996. 
Family
His parents were Wong Kei-ying and Pok Lai-ngo. He was married four times, his first three wives all passed away. He married his fourth wife Mok Kwai-lan in 1915. He had four sons and two daughters.
