Telvision actress best known for playing the role of Marilyn Pearson in the NBC series This Is Us. She has performed extensively in theater productions in venues such as The Geffen Playhouse, South Coast Rep and The Taper and is the Artistic Director and founder of the multi-award winning Lost Angels Theatre Company. Her show General Hospital earned a Primetime Emmy.

Her father was an insurance salesman. Her mother, Vicki Niemi, is a production manager known for her work on the film Mousehunt which starred Nathan Lane. She is married to the video game writer Adam Gascoine. She is the daugher-in-law of Jill Gascoine and Alfred Molina.
