Geoff Linville Us

Geoff Linville graduated Stanford University with a degree in English. He then began his industry career working as an assistant to Beginners producer Leslie Urdang at Robert Redford’s production company Wildwood.

There, he worked in script development as well as on the production of Daniel Algrant’s People I Know, written by Jon Robin Baitz and starring Al Pacino and Kim Basinger. In 2002, he moved over to Universal Pictures to work in development for Gary Ross’ Larger Than Life Productions, and assisted the director through production of the Academy Award-nominated Seabiscuit.

In 2005, Mr. Linville became the Director of Production at Serenade Films, a unique equity-financed production company founded by Leslie Urdang, Michael Nozik, Amy Robinson, and Michael Hoffman to produce low-budget, artistically relevant feature films in which the artists both on- and off-screen would share in the sales proceeds from their work. For Serenade, he oversaw elements of physical and post-production on, and delivery of, Mr. Hoffman’s Game 6; Danny Leiner’s The Great New Wonderful; Michael Cuesta’s Twelve and Holding; and François Velle’s The Narrows.

Beginning with Max Mayer’s Adam, Mr. Linville began working on the Olympus Pictures slate of films. He now serves as Vice President of Production for the company, having recently overseen work on John Cameron Mitchell’s Rabbit Hole and Julian Farino’s The Oranges.
