Ethan Hawke grew up in England , he attended the West Windsor-Plainsboro High School in Central New Jersey and returned to the United States to study acting and theater in the McCarter Theater

Ethan published his first novel, “The Hottest State,” in 1996 (the novel sold for $400,000 to Little, Brown and Company

On May 1, 1998 he married actress Uma Thurman with whom he has two children, daughter Maya Ray (born July 8, 1998 ) and son Levon (born January 15, 2002 ).

2004 Ethan and Uma Thurman separated in 2004, because of the rumors of a love affair between Thurman and Quentin Tarantino on the set of Kill Bill.

2004 Ethan Hawke continued his work Before Sunrise , with the film Before Sunset.  It was rumoured that Ethan had also cheated on Uma with Canadian model Jen Perzow.

2005 Ethan Hawke and Laurence Fishburne Star in “Assault on Precinct 13″ in the role of Sergeant Jake Roenick
