David was educated in Hollywood. 

He studied in the University of San Francisco and began to work as a singer. 

1965 He got a role in The Royal Hunt of the Sun, in Broadway. 

1972 He acted with Barbara Hershey in the film Bertha of Martin Scorses, that same year he was chosen to star in the series "Kung Fu" of Alex Beaton and Robert Butler in which David interpreted Kwai Chang Caine for three years. 

1975 He associated with the producer Roger Corman

1977 David Carradine acted in the movie The Serpent' s Egg, of Ingmar Bergman

1990 David reappeared in his role of Kway Chang Caine in some programs of Kung Fu in television.

He has written two books: The philosophical Spirit of Shaolin and an autobiography: Endless Highway.  He has also made two videos of Tai Chi and Kung Fu. 

2003 David Carradine interpreted Bill in the movie Kill Bill of Quentin Tarantino with which he returned to the motion picture screen . This film premiered in the Cannes Film Festival in May.

2004 Rap star Kurupt and David Carradine are set to star in the urban film Western Click, de Jean-Claude La Marre, with Antwon Tanner, Clifton Powell, Raymond Cruz, Glenn Plummer, Gabriel Casseus, Kenya Moore and Idalis DeLeon.
