It was his brother Terry who motivated Bowie to play the Saxophone. 

1960 Inspired by the jazz of the West End, he picked up the saxophone and took saxo lessons with Ronnie Ross.

David Bowie played with bands like The Konrads, The King Bees with his school friend George Underwood, The Manish Boys and The Lower Third .

1963 David Bowie and the King Bees recorded their first album. 

1966 He became a soloist, with its disk Space Oddity that had a lot of success

1966  Kenneth Pitt signed on as his manager, and his career began-

1969 His single Space Oddity peaked at No. 5 in the United Kingdom

1967 David Bowie debuted in the movies with the short film "Image" of Michael Armstrong

1970 David Bowie performed in "The Man Who Sold the World ", and traveled to the US for promotion.  There he married Angela Barnett, a model.  His son Duncan Zowie Haywood Jones was born in march.

1972 He admitted he is bisexual to the magazine Melody Maker

1976 David abused cocaine, lost weight excessively, had irregular behavior and health disappeared.  He recorded three albums with Brian Eno.

1992 April 27 David Bowie married the model Iman

1997 15 000 people participate in the celebration of the 50 years of Bowie in the Madison Square Garden of New York. 

2000 Birth of Alexandrie Zahra Jones, daughter of Iman and David. 

2004 David Bowie Gets A Bossa Nova Makeover In Wes Anderson's 'Life Aquatic' , the brazilian samba star Seu Jorge remade 11 Bowie songs for the film Life Aquatic, of Wes Anderson.
