During his youth, Brian de Palma was a passionate of scientific matters, the physics, during the time that he studied in the Columbia University Brian de Palma began to be interested on theater.

Brian de Palma created his first movies in 16 mm. format

1960, he directed his first short film, Icarus, followed by 6601224, The Story of the IBM Card, and of Wotan’ s Wake, for which Brian de Palma received several awards during his studies in the School Sarah Lawrence.

1966 Brian de Palma directed his first long films, starting with The Wedding Party, a comedy with Jill Clayburgh and of Robert de Niro.  By the end of the 60’s, Brian de Palma was inspired by satirical comedies as in 1968, the film Greetings

1975 Brian won the first Award of the Festival of Avoriaz with The Ghost of the Paradise.  Later Brian de Palma confirmed his exceptional qualities for the making of fantastic movies with the film Body in 1984.

1989, He directed Michael J. Fox and Sean Penn in his first movie, 1996,  he met Tom Cruise, Jon Voight, Emmanuelle Béart and Jean Reno for Mission impossible

1990 The Bonfire of Vanities  continues to be his more successful commercial work.

2000 Mission to mars was presented in the Festival of Cannes in the selection of long films out of competition

2004 The 25th American Film Market took place in Santa Monica Beach Hotel, and Nu Image/Millennium is there pushing its current line of films. The company’s slate is topped by Brian De Palma’s The Black Dahlia, which is currently in preproduction at a budget of $50-$55 million
