English author, poet, and journalist famous for her published works and relationship with Virginia Woolf. Her most popular works include The Edwardians and All Passion Spent, and she is also said to be the inspiration of Woolf's book Orlando: A Biography. She and her husband created the famous garden at Sissinghurst Castle.
Family
Her parents Lionel and Victoria Sackville-West were cousins, and she was their only child. She married Harold Nicolson and had two sons with him. The relationship was known as primarily platonic because she had many relationships with women throughout their marriage.
