NBA forward who was selected 14th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. He played one year of college basketball at University of Missouri, but a back injury shortened his collegiate season and also hampered him as he began his NBA career. He eventually went on to become a core member of the Nuggets and he helped the team capture the 2023 NBA title.

His father, Michael Porter, Sr., is a coach on the University of Missouri staff who previously served under Romar at Washington. His mother is Lisa Porter, and he has seven siblings, including class of 2018 prospect Jontay. He began dating actress Madison Pettis in late February 2017. In October 2020 he was said to be dating the Bachelor's Madison Prewett. They broke up in late 2021.
