Richard Craig Schofield played shortstop for 14 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1983-96. He won a World Series in 1993 while playing with the Toronto Blue Jays.

His father, John Richard "Ducky" Schofield played infield for 19 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1953-71, winning the World Series in 1960 while with the Pittsburgh Pirates. And his grandfather, also John "Ducky" Schofield, played 11 seasons of minor league baseball and made it to Double-A with Kansas City before going into farming.
